Students are our future. Join our Schools for the Cure program to teach students of any age the importance of philanthropy and breast self-awareness and reducing one’s risk of developing breast cancer.
Check out our Schools for the Cure handbook for details on how to become involved! Contact our Mission and Special Projects Coordinator with questions and to get started by email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or phone (225.615.8740.)
How Your School Can Get Involved
Raise Awareness: Education and early detection are the best ways to improve survival rates. Organize a rally or assembly to inform your student body about breast cancer and how to detect it as early as possible. Let us know if we can help by providing a speaker.
Raise Funds: There are many ways you can raise funds. Your school can host events through October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, or get creative and design a pink fundraiser at any time of the year! Some fun-filled, school-wide, fundraising ideas can be found in our Schools for the Cure handbook.
Join the School Challenge: Add excitement to your fundraising efforts by joining the school challenge! Take part in our Annual Race for the Cure by forming a team. Be the top team among local schools and your school will receive an award and special recognition Komen Baton Rouge!
